Backed into my dad’s van this morning. It just had a broken headlight which we already replaced. My car is a bit more fucked. Can’t wait for the insurance company to get back with me so I can get it fixed.

I did this when I was 16. I actually backed into a parked black 2008 Mustang GT in my Accord during a thunderstorm at night. Just couldn’t see it. There’s nothing worse than that sound and sudden stop...

The quarter panels on those go all the around around, they have to be cut and welded in. You may consider just replacing the bumper and light and not going through insurance so as to keep your clean carfax.

It’s not a car I ever plan on selling, I just want it fixed right and if it lowers the value it will be a good thing as my registration fees in Kentucky will be less.

Holy shit. Ours is definitely not that much. I had a shitty 2001 Taurus that cost me about $50 after tax I thing. Maybe not that much even. Initial registration is the most, and that’s only because the 7% sales tax

It sounds like in the end you get the shaft and pay more. I guess that’s exactly why states like mine require sales tax if you buy a car out of state.
